I have wanted my own dog forever but have not lived in one place (or even country) long enough to have a dog. I went to the shelter this weekend but didn't have that *connection*. If you adopt a dog there are so many variables involved: past abuse, general temperament, good with children and general training issues. Also, the name. Who names their dog "Sweet Pea"? WHO? I'm sorry if you're reading this and have named your dog "Sweet Pea", but I'm judging you.

And I want to love the dog as much as I love this coffee |
(Which is A LOT)

Yay! Can't wait to see pictures of your doggy soul mate. What kind of dog are you going for?
I want to get a lab! Went to the animal shelter last weekend and in a couple weeks I'm going to head down to the Lab Rescue League in DC. I will for sure post pics!!
All the pillocks around where I live call their dogs Tyson. Sweet Pea would be a nice change.
Haha! Point taken. Maybe I'll rethink "Sweet Pea" ;)
Thanks, Vivian! And good luck!
A lab, huh? Those are great dogs. My parents got an english lab a little over a year ago. Great dogs, but they take a LOT of training.
I have no patience. lol.
Yeah, I'm not allowed to go on the lab rescue site while at work anymore. I literally sit and cry and want to adopt all of them. SUCH sad stories. I think my boss thinks I have a "problem" now. :P
Is it strange that reading this made me so happy because the thought of a dog finding a home and a loving owner made me ridiculously happy and excited, even though I don't even know you.
I was all, Yay you! I'm so happy you're getting a dog! I love your dog already. Yeah, that dog that you haven't even gotten; I love it! Weeeeeee!
I'm totally a crazy dog lady. I can admit it.
Totally not strange in any way!!! I love dogs so much!! (Look at all the exclamation marks) pupppyyy
