I haven't gone to church in a long time, but even so I consider myself a spiritual person. I don't always participate in Lent (as in giving something up). I felt I should do something this Lenten year. I will give up booze. And that's hard; we have a wine cellar. If C likes a bottle of wine, he buys a damn case. So far he has bought out the wine selections from TWO different stores because "they were on sale". This man makes his own tonic for our gin & tonics. He LOVE alcohol. I think if alcohol was a lady, he would leave me for her harlotry embraces.
But yes, it's hard. I've been working from home lately and doing freelancing writing on the side and the wine cabinet is RIGHT next to my desk.
* takes deep breath*
I'm ok, you guys. I fainted for a minute. I'm ok, though.
So yeah, giving up booze. I'd like to make it 40 days. We shall see.

Uh oh. Unfortunately I will not be able to join you in solidarity on Sunday for your Lent alcohol sacrifice. However I will try not to do a little happy dance in my seat as I drink some tasty cocktails so as not to rub it in your face. But I can't make any guarantees.
Did you hear that Jesus gives you Sundays off to drink? I read it in the Bible!!
