I went out with a group of my friends to the Hirshhorn "After Hours" Gallery event. It was so much fun!

We started off the night at Barcode in DC where they have half price wine & beer EVERY day from 4-7pm. Mama like.

I just thought it was funny Chicken Gumbo was the same price as beer.

Fun By The Waterfront

This Made Me happy

I love peas.  I think they are one of my favorite vegetables.  I love them so much that one of my best friends started calling me "Peas".  Yeah, delicious.

So when my friend Laura posted this, it made my day!  Here it is below, too.

I'm Going To Get a Puppyyyy

I have wanted my own dog forever but have not lived in one place (or even country) long enough to have a dog.  I went to the shelter this weekend but didn't have that *connection*.  If you adopt a dog there are so many variables involved: past abuse, general temperament, good with children and general training issues.  Also, the name.  Who names their dog "Sweet Pea"?  WHO?  I'm sorry if you're reading this and have named your dog "Sweet Pea", but I'm judging you.

NYC in a couple weeks!

C & I are headed to NYC for the 2nd weekend in May.  I am so excited to get the camera out and start shooting again!  New York is one of my favorite places.

C got us reservations at Daniel in the city aaaaaaaaaaand it's ranked 11th in the world (scroll down to #11).

Can you see why I like this guy?  To be honest, I don't care about the fancy restaurants and nice hotels, I just  like spending time with him.  He's pretty amazing and he makes me laugh like no one has made me laugh before (see: side splitting).

Any suggestions for what we should do in NYC for a long weekend?

My Weekend

I had such a lovely weekend!  C and I went to a farmer's market, drank good wine, hung out with my friend Karen and her gorgeous new-born, Sophie and I spent some time out with my favorite 3 1/2 year old.  Food, wine, friends?  So good!

I bought these shoes before I moved to New Zealand and then completely forgot to pack them.  Now, three years later, I have unpacked them from storage.  I wish I knew where the rest of my shoes were!
